Malii [May-Lee] Watts Witten (she/her) holds 20+ years’ experience partnering with people to develop organizational culture from the inside-out. She is an impact entrepreneur who facilitates, coaches and consults stateside and globally, accompanying leaders as they equip themselves with the skills to advance the power of shared purpose. Her client list has included federal, state and local governments; Fortune 500 companies; distinguished institutions of higher learning; and mission-hearted nonprofits and startups.
She offers a unique perspective to the work as the legacy of black folk in the U.S. who emerged from the Great Migration and the Civil Rights Movement; a Millennial woman who has worked and travelled throughout the States and more than 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas; and an adherent to the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith. Malii's work is led by a people-centered ethic. Malii has managed training and consulting projects within numerous industries and across national, organizational and people cultures. The culture-general theories of well-established researchers within ethnographic fields serve as the foundation of her content knowledge. She has published, “For the Love of Music: A Story of Organizational Culture and Change,” a research piece that examines how organizational culture affects readiness for organizational change. Malii Watts Witten earned a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from SIT Graduate Institute (School for International Training) in Vermont, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in California. She has varying proficiency in Spanish, Japanese and American Sign Language (ASL). Malii currently lives with her family in San Antonio, Texas, and travels nationally, internationally and virtually for work and pleasure. |
